I worked with Fisk to develop the animation system of a contemporary grid for Apple Music’s biweekly playlist in which DJs and producers showcase their favorite tracks. A simplified palette using bold color, scale and position lend a hypnotic visual tone to every playlist.
1:1 Featured DJ visualizer
The animation style is inspired by the digital nature of electronic music. Streaming data, signal loops and Live feeds are in a constant motion to communicate a progressive look that feels new and evolving.
The expressive grid can be scaled 1x, 2x, 3x to create dynamic compositions. The grid is composed from a library of simple linear square animations to form a unique grid made up of proportional squares.
